Pireas Sunset at 10'000 ft
Somtimes I have to work too...
Fortunately I truly have a seat in the front row and sometimes the views are just breathtaking. This was one of these moments:
After departure on runway 03L in Athens, you can turn westwards after reaching the required altitude of 5000ft to safely overfly the hills east of the city. This takes you right over the center of one of the largest and most beautifully situated cities in Europe.
This photo was taken from roughly 10'000 ft or 3000 m and shows the harbour of Pireas, and the islands Salamis and Aegina.
