Peaceful Snow at the Bow [explored]
There's something so enchanting and soothing about a pristine snowfall. The way it just paints over visual clutter and muffles sound seems to reduce our sensory overload and induce a feeling of calmness. It also somehow makes the world feel cleaner, less polluted even though we know it isn't. The snow clinging to the pine boughs also evokes in me such a strong feeling of remoteness and unspoiled wilderness.
On a surprise trip to Western Canada recently, stopped by the Bow River near Castle Mountain for some sunrise photography. It was a mixed bag sunrise, clouded over for the most part but with some occasional spells of beautiful softer light. I loved the way the light in the clouds aligned with the river in this moment.
Been off of Flickr for a while, but I'll be doing some catching up and I've got some more new stuff to post so I'm excited about that.
