*Gabriel Jose de la Concordia Garcia Marquez, better known as "Gabo" born in Aracataca, Colombia where most of his stories take place under the fictional name of Macondo. Gabo is the inventor of "realismo magico" of story telling which has been adopted by many artist's including myself in expressing real life situations and transferring these to paintings in a abstract way.
Gabo, is considered as one of the greatest short story writers of the 20th century and is best known for his: "one hundred years of solitude" a story book full of recipes for artists who want to survive in this wonderful world full of wonders to be discovered, for which he won an Nobel Prize for literature.
The stories take place in Macondo where I too found myself wondering how I got there.
