ARCTAS

Arctic Research of the Composition of the Troposphere from Aircraft and Satellites, or ARCTAS, is a NASA project to verify satellite and model data using airborne chemistry instruments. Their spring campaign was based here in Fairbanks, and I had the privilege of participating in the weather briefings, as well as go along as a passenger on one of the flights.
