Paloma Faith & the Unfaithful@Under Solo, Camden town, London, UK

"Be prepared for all your senses to be touched. I fly sometimes, sometimes I land with a thud. I am never what you think as I am multiple. Sometimes what isn't said is more powerful than what is. I hope to grow and surprise you with what you least expect but realise that predictability is not a negative thing. The mundane can be beautiful. So can the extraordinary..... Paloma Faith will be returning in November to re-string nostalgic classicism with a bloody feather in a bow carved from the roots of wealthy influences like Billie Holiday, Erykah Badu, Wong Kar Wai, and David Lynch. Again she brings to us her unique style of relentlessly boundary breaking theatrical song containing allusions to jazz, soul and 50’s/60’s rock all from a contemporary stance. Live shows are never one-dimensional as she draws from performance art, cinema and music taking us willingly through a new experience branded ‘existentialist soul’. Paloma is accompanied by her band aptly titled ‘The Unfaithful’, a mixed bunch of eye candy and musical genius. Together with their help she has a few new tricks up her sleeve, not to mention a collection of new songs, destined to guide you through an emotional landscape of drama, tragedy and introspection. There is no doubt that Paloma and her band are bursting at the seams with energy and whether you like it or not, intend to make their mark in a new incarnation of British soul which is destined to create an impact. As it said in Sunday Times Style magazine.“ There’s a buzz around this Dalston resident: her work, in all it’s guises is “an ethereal plunge into a theatrical past” expect the unexpected but by all means don’t miss out on the ride.
