Sculpt status on the 1:18 scale Space Jockey - Alien 79. Pre-sculpt work in progress using monster clay to get a better idea of placement and proportion. A "suggested" sculpt to say the least. I was hesitant on where to start with the Space Jockey - do I start with the alien itself or the chair? Then I went back through my refference shots and found that Giger and Peter Voysey began the sculpt of the Alien first, then built the chair around it. So that's what I have begun doing. I will reduce the monster clay which will work as a frame for the final sculpt that will be made using Aves FIXIT Sculpt (Epoxy). Very excited to finally see it come into form!
