Completed rubber tires for 1:18 APC
We've got rubber tires! ALIENS APC - 1:18 scale. Casting is complete for 2 of the four rubber tires for the 1:18 APC with a third being poured today. Need to acquire some additional casting material to create the armor plates that will connect to the wheel magnetically. Need to cast the wheels as well. These guys are very dense rubber - very hard...about the strength of a Kong chew today but thick, not hollow. The tires come out a tad shiny which is easily corrected with a little dry brush of some matte black and a fine grit sandpaper. I plan to ad a bit more weathering o the tires as time goes on.
