Two - To the Sky

Wow, I have so many things I've been wanting to write all day, but now I can't remember any of them. Oh well, I'll just make stuff up as I go along.

First, I'm sorry for such a boring stop motion video filling in as a picture for today. And for forgetting that you can only upload 90 second videos to flickr, and trying to upload a 120 second video that got cut off. I'm too lazy to go back and shorten it, so this is what you get. I promise to have something more creative and interesting tomorrow. If you want to see the stop motion video, go here, my blog where I dump all of my comment photos and such.

Second, I really need to give a shout out to someone. I think I've mentioned her before, but now I need to mention her with a little more detail and edification. That someone is Gibson Claire McGuire Regester. She and I are complete strangers, and I've hardly ever commented on her photos, but she happens to be the reason I'm on flickr. At a sleepover that happened ageeeees ago, a mutual friend showed me her 365 project, on this website I had never heard of before, called flickr, of course. :) And something about her photos really got to me, and so when I got home, I went on facebook and stalked my friend until I found Gibson, and I stalked her facebook until I found the link to her photostream. And then I spent about a week going through her 365 project, the same way a person might read a book. I was on flickr, looking at her photostream during breakfast, in little breaks throughout the day, and at night before I went to sleep. Her photos were so full of life and color, and she put so much heart into every one of 365's, completely inspiring me. So eventually I, too, joined the flickr world and am now on a 365 journey of my own, all because of a stranger named Gibson. So thank you Gibson, for being an amazing photographer and for sticking to your project. It impacted me in a huge way.

Obviously inspired by her and by this, although hers is much, much better.

God gives out wisdom free,

is plainspoken in knowledge and understanding.

He's a rich mine of common sense for those who live well,

a personal bodyguard to the candid and sincere.

He keeps an eye on all who live honestly,

and pays special attention to his loyally committed ones.

Proverbs 2:6-8

*For those of you who are confused, I originally uploaded a stop motion video for day two of my 365 project, which was captured on January 2nd. But for ages now I've wanted to replace it with a simple photo, so I finally did it. This photo is from that day and it's very much connected with my stop motion video, but I just really wanted to see that little note when I look at my set, "61 photos" instead of "60 photos and 1 video". So yeah, thanks flickr, for putting up with my OCD/perfectionist ways. ;)
