Sometimes in order to get the shot, you have to go where the subject is most comfortable. In Ginger's case, that's in her crate. It's her little den and her favorite spot in the house. We don't ever shut the door on her crate and she's free to sleep on the couch if she wants, but she chooses to spend most of her time in the crate anyway. She'll even take the milkbones we give her and hide them in her crate for later!
She's almost 100% healthy now. After almost weekly vet visits for the last month, hopefully this weekend's visit to the vet will be the last for a while. We also had a big breakthrough this week - Ginger will go up and down the steps in the basement now! She still prefers to spend most of her time upstairs, but it's nice to see her finally getting comfortable in her new home.
