Rising Through The Fog (Shenandoah National Park)

Friday morning I decided to try to shoot the sunrise at Thorofare overlook. I arrived to find heavy fog blanketing the mountains below. I have a wider shot of this scene at sunrise, but I really liked the abstract look of the mountains peeking through the low-lying fog in this closer shot. The fog moved and flowed between the mountains, almost like a river.

 

Oh, and if you take a look at the exif data for this shot, you'll notice I got a new toy :)
