Lone Tree at Sunrise (Shenandoah National Park)
I know this looks more like a sunset, but I can assure you it's a sunrise. I took this shot at Big Meadows last Sunday morning while I was looking for fawns. Because I had only planned on shooting fawns, I left all of my other gear in the car, including my tripod and my shorter lenses. When I saw this scene I knew I wouldn't have enough time to get back to my car, pick up the rest of my gear, and return to this spot before the sun rose too high, so I just made due with my telephoto lens. The color is all natural, not Photoshopped. I normally take my landscape shots with a tripod and a short lens, but I still like how this one came out!
