Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies
My husband mentioned wanting chocolate chip cookies last week, but we didn't have any. He's since gotten over his craving but I couldn't stop thinking about them! I decided to whip up a batch of cookies using the Cook's Illustrated recipe, which claimed to make "thick and chewy" chocolate chip cookies. You should know I'm very picky about my chocolate chip cookies. They must be chewy.
My verdict? While my cookies don't look like the ones in their photo, they are indeed chewy. I went a little light on the chocolate chips this time, afraid of over doing it, but next time I think I will use more. More chocolate can't hurt anything, right? :)
PS. Sorry for the grainy photo with terrible lighting. I took this shot in a hurry last night because I could hardly wait to stuff my face with cookies!
