Backyard Birds
Now that I have a house with a deck that overlooks something other than a parking lot, I finally got an opportunity to set up a bird feeder. After the first few days with no birds, I was feeling rather discouraged. But then last Friday, just as I was whining at my husband about the lack of birds, I looked up to see a bright yellow goldfinch sitting on my feeder! Since then, I've seen a parade of backyard birds visit - chickadees, cardinals, tufted titmice, even a Carolina wren or two. Oh yes, and the famous Grey Seed Hogger, as seen below.
