Finally, SNOW!
We got around 6" of snow here yesterday, and for once it was mostly just good old powdery snow. Usually we end up with a mix of snow and ice that makes life miserable until it melts. I couldn't get out yesterday because the roads were too messy, but I did have some time to go shooting this morning before work. I would have liked to be out a little earlier to catch the sunrise, but I thought driving on icy roads in the dark was probably a bad idea. Instead, I went out after the sun came up and parked my car in the 6" of snow to get this shot (and a few others). There was a good chance my car would get stuck, but I think it was worth it.
(You can compare this shot to this other shot I took back in October to see just how low the water is at Lake Shenandoah now!)
