Snowy owl

At full alert, she stared along the shore at an approaching juvenile bald eagle. She followed its every movement, turning completely around on her perch and ultimately flying off, as it came near.

Earlier this morning, I watched four young eagles mercilessly harass a snowy owl, chasing it back and forth across the bay. The eagles seem to be of particular concern to the owls and with some reason as I saw a picture this year of a bald eagle killing a great horned owl on a Vancouver Island golf course. I haven't heard of a similar incident with the snowies, but the potential is there.
