The endless wet weather we've experienced in the UK recently caused the seeds to germinate inside this thistle seed head. I'm sure they won't survive long in their temporary accommodation. The leafless tendrils of Boston Ivy created some interesting background structure, especially when viewed through an old Meyer Trioplan.
