Not sure if this is a fly or a beetle - probably a pollen-eating beetle of some kind but it didn't have any wing casings. Seemed quite compliant about having it's picture taken though and it's face has some character...
Helios 44 on an M42 macro-focussing helicoid (finally found one that fits the A7II) which didn't get me quite close enough so attached the Marumi achromat too. Cropped it a bit as well :-)
