10/21/2021 - Alligator skull study
One of my favorite musicians of all times, Hubert Félix Thiéfaine, sings this song called "Alligator 427." It's not a fun one: nuclear desolation, end times vibes, and pessimism abound in it. Perfectly in line for my worldview, but also weirdly timely.
Almost a decade ago, I went through that project called Project 52: a new quote-based poster per week, for a full year. Back then, I already drew some skulls, and created one based on this song.
I decided it was time to revisit this skull. The brush used is RetroSupply Co.'s blotty inker, found in their Mid-Century brush bundle.
