Dwarf Bottlebrush

This plants official name is calothamnus quadrifidus dwarf.

The National Botanic Garden of Wales is set on historic parkland, dating back around 400 years. The centre piece is a spectacular dome, the largest single span glasshouse in the world. The plants in the glasshouse come from six areas of the world: California, Australia, the Canary Islands, Chile, South Africa, the Mediterranean Basin, and the Great Glasshouse is zoned to reflect this.

Outside the glasshouse is the Ghost Forest, which contains 10 giant hardwood tree stumps – highlighting the alarming rate of deforestation.

The trees, which have been in Trafalgar Square and outside the Danish Parliament in Copenhagen, have found a new and permanent home at the Carmarthenshire attraction.
