The photo shots were taken at an outdoor Shakespeare production in the "Walled Garden" in Basingstoke.
The Shakespeare play was "The Taming of The Shrew". This production was performed in the style of "commedia dell'arte" which includes comical improvisation. It also adopted the 1960's as a theme for the style of dress and included a number of sixties songs.
In 1967 "The Taming of The Shrew" was made into a famous movie featuring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in the key roles.
