Victoria Glacier, Lake Louise

Lake Louise is fed by glacial runoff from Victoria Glacier. Its beautiful warmer green/blue color is caused by fine sediments or "rock flour" floating in the water, a results of fine powdery rock that has been crushed and ground by a glacier. Peyto Lake, is a rich baby blue color, fed by a different glacial source.

After I took this photo, I got to take out one of those beautiful canoes and spent a very enjoyable hour on this fabulous lake.
