~The Calm before the Storm~

We were on the other side of the Country this weekend and due to come home this evening.. however severe weather warnings across Ireland made us rethink our plans and we set off earlier arriving home mid day. After driving through some quite calm and peaceful looking skies I was beginning to think the meteorologists were perhaps... wrong (perish the thought!).. So I set off this evening to my favourite spot up the Wicklow mountains to see if there were any clouds about and lo and behold I found these.. It does look like a rather ominous sky.. and judging by the rain absolutely battering against my window pane right now.. I guess those meteorologists knew their stuff!

Batten down the hatches folks.. we're in for a rough one!
