Mance Mark V Heliograph, Simplex Configuration

While I scanned this from my personal copy of the original, I believe the image itself is in the public domain in the USA, as a pre-1923 photo, and worldwide, as a Crown Copyright publication of more than 50 years age. In the event that it turns out that my action entitles me to copyright, I release it to the public domain, as indicated by the Flickr CC0 copyright marking.

It shows the setup configuration and parts for the Mance Mark V Heliograph, a tripod-mounted signaling instrument used from ca. 1907 to ca. 1960 by the British Empire/Commonwealth military to send messages long distances by Morse Code using reflected flashes of sunlight.

For more information on this type of heliograph, see the page Mance Type Mk V Heliograph

I scanned the figure and list from the noted document, I believe the figure is in the public domain in the US (as a pre-1923 document), and elsewhere, as a Crown Copyright work published more than 50 years ago.

I make no copyright claims of my own to this, you may use it as your laws allow, and I do not require attribution. However, you are responsible for making the determination for what is and isn't legal use.

For reuse, you may want to use one of the other sizes available
