Tool, Adjusting, 5 Inch Helio
These are the two sides (composited photo) of the "adjusting tool" for the 1909 Mance Heliograph 5" Mark V. This example is chromed steel - later examples are blued steel. This is an early four-in-one multitool: small and large screwdriver, hex and square wrench.
The double arrowhead “sold out of service” stamp (top right) indicate it was built for use outside of Britain - likely Canada, which is where I bought it. The manufacturer of this heliograph was very thorough with the double-arrow stamp - I see it on some very small components.
The background is a 10 per inch grid, for scale.
I took and collaged these photos, which I'm offering under the free (CC by 2.0) (Attribution) License.
