The unloved and battered monument to John Rede (d.1603) with Jacobean strapwork and kneeling family.

The Redes owned the manor prior to the Langhams.

 

The tablet reads:

Here lieth the bodye of John Rede of Cotesbrooke in the county of Northampton esq. who married Isabel one of the daughters and coheirs of Will Lane of Cotesbrooke esq.

They had issue betweene them Edward Rede who died without issue the 23rd of sept 1603.

Bridget married to Alexander Thorold of Houghe in County of Lincoln Esq;

Elizabeth married to Richard Burnaby of Watford in County of Northampton Esq

Susan married to Will Sanders of east Haddon in the county of Northampton esq.

Lucy married to John Molineux of Carleton in the county of Worcester esq.

Anne married to John Andrew of Longden in the county of Worcester esq.

Sara married to Sir george Saville of Thornhill in the county of York Knight.

Milicent married to Sir Michael Grene of milton in the county of Oxford Knight.

Theodora onmarried the said John deceased the 2nd April 1604.
