New Skin
While I was trimming weeds I found a freshly shed snake skin. Later this beauty was seen sunning nearby. Photographed as it heads for shelter in a nearby large rock wall. A lot of nice ground squirrels there. Approximately 30 inch length. Northern Pacific Rattlesnake. (Crotalus oreganus) A 3 shot Snakeorama. Mendocino County, Northern California. U.S.A.
