Day 102 of Gratitude
Sister's Family
My sister’s family has had a major effect on the people in my family. Older members are acting young again, some are closer now than ever before, and as a whole we do more things. I find there’s something healthy about “doing it for the kids.” Whether it’s simply holding onto traditions, trying something new or not fighting in the heat of the moment because they are around, adding children to our close family has simply made things better. I also feel like in our world today it can be difficult to find families that aren’t mixed or broken in some way. That doesn’t make the families bad or un-inspiring it is simply nice to see a family that is together. My sister’s family is an example of a caring, loving, Christian family that is growing closer over time instead of apart. They care about others, helping whenever they can. They use their talents and skills to support people and help at events whenever possible. They are a family that adds to the community. My sister started her family young but she knew what she had and didn’t let it go. They invest more into their family every year which has continued to put more into and bring around change in our family as well. They will be welcoming their third child in about a month. We are all very excited!
Note: I am so behind on adding these photos that the child my sister was pregnant with in these photos is already walking!
