TOMs
The thing I thought I'd be thankful for today bombed.
I got a talking to tonight, more so a lecture, about photographers and how unqualified people are when it comes to photography. I've already been tearing myself apart lately. I've been looking around at everyone's photography thinking how I can't hold my own as a hobby photographer so why on earth am I doing this? So I went for a walk to clear my head and keep myself from crying and then came home and wrote this journals.worldnomads.com/ashlee/story/76224/Canada/Are-yo.... That allowed me to move on to the following.
I was part of an event last April called One Day Without Shoes. I went one day without shoes so kids didn't have to. The organization that started it all is TOMs. TOMs stands for better tomorrows. The shoes TOMs makes are so comfortable. They are simple, basic flats but they have some arch support and come in fun colours. I bought these a couple days ago and I adore them. I'm not a shoe person. I have better things to spend my money on. These however are practical, comfy, red, and when I bought a pair an assignment went out to make a pair for a child around the world. I got a pair and a kid got a pair? Cool!

If you are in the states you have more options than just shoes. Hopefully one day it will change here in Canada.
