A popular quilting store in Saskatchewan has asked for 200 quilts to pass on to survivors, relatives, firemen, ambulance, police and others that had direct involvement with the very unfortunate accident that occurred on April 6, 2018, in rural Saskatchewan. There were 29 hockey players/staff on the bus which was hit as they were on their way to a playoff game. Instantly 15 were killed and sadly the only female on the bus passed today. She was the teams, athletic therapist.

The request was to make a quilt of a certain dimension and include the colours of the Humboldt Broncos colours. We put together materials from our stash and came up with this quilt top. Someone will love it...

I've started one on my own and will post a picture later. My guess is they will get over 1,000 quilts. We are a very close community in the quilting world and many will help out.

A GoFundMe page has been set up and over $9 million Canadian has been raised to date.
