Rock Wren | Troglodyte des rochers

Rock Wrens usually migrate south in the winter from the Interior of British Columbia and they are always rare in the Vancouver area. It looks like this bird is overwintering here. This little guy was moving fast, actively hunting on the ground while probing with its bill. During breeding season, they move to dry, rocky locations to build nests in crevice or cavity, usually among rocks.
