Brooklyn RIP 03 (Explored)
Brooklyn, July 3, 2008 – May 21, 2024.
We lost a perfect dog two weeks ago. Brooklyn joined our family September 4, 2008, when she and her brother, Barkley (2008-2022), arrived at SFO from Michigan's Snovali Creations & Presentation. Ever since then, she's been our constant companion, a fun-loving, resilient, perfectly-behaved girl. Well-traveled, she loved going on car trips and exploring new parts of the West, especially the wild beaches of Northern California, Oregon, and Washington.
In 2020, we were worried we were going to lose her just as the pandemic set in when she was diagnosed with large tumor on her liver. But we found a surgeon in Santa Cruz up to the task and Brooklyn was up and running just a couple of days after the operation. So these last four years have been a blessing we weren't sure we would have.
Brooklyn put up with Calan and Wren, the new pups who came to us after Barkley passed, but despite our urgings, she didn't discipline them enough when they were annoying her. Instead, she showed great patience with their puppyhood and seemingly enjoyed having them around.
We will miss her forever.
