sheeshoo
snake!
while I was hiking in the slaughter creek greenbelt today, I saw a car bumper under the manchaca road overpass. I thought to myself, "that's and odd thing to wash downstream." then I looked more closely and said out loud (even though I was by myself), "woooo! big snake!" while I instinctively leapt to the side.
you're seeing about half of it, after it slithered partially away.
are any of you an amateur herpetologist and want to tell me what kind of snake this is?
