Storm surge probabilities

 

Storm surge along the east coast will begin to pick up over the next 24 hours, with the peak likely occurring Monday night. Record storm surge levels are expected along portions of the New York and New Jersey coasts. The graphic on below shows the probability of storm surge exceeding 2 feet, 5 feet, 8 feet, and 10 feet. Innundation will be worse if the peak storm surges coincide with the time of high tides. You can monitor the coastal water levels at:
