Pratiti Devi

( 4th November 1925 - 13th January 2020 )

 

Pratiti Devi was born to Suresh Chandra Ghatak and Indubala Devi In Rajshahi. Her twin brother Ritwik Ghatak, was a renowned Bangali filmmaker and scriptwriter.

 

As a singer and writer, her work has appeared in numerous publications.

 

Pratiti Devi was married to Sajib Dutta, son of former health minister Dhirendranath Dutta. Together they had two children, Aroma Dutta and Rahul Dutta. MP Aroma Dutta is a social and human rights activist and holds a seat reserved for women in the parliament.
