Shieldstown Covered Bridge

Jackson County, Indiana

This double span bridge was built in 1876 by Joseph J. Daniels at a cost of $13,600. Located northeast of Brownstown, the bridge crosses the East Fork of the White River and carried traffic until the 1980s.
