Looking head-on

A female great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) swims head-on toward the camera.

 

This particular individual had an abnormality with the left side of her lower jaw. I never could figure out what it was, but based on a few other photos of her, it looked like it might be consistent with a hook injury, though the placement of it seemed a bit off.
