Fragile Forest exhibit
One of my favourite sections of the Singapore zoo: here is the entrance to the Fragile Forest. It gives you, as the second board (seen here) says, a true rainforest experience. You find a recreated rainforest behind that mesh door, where, to the sound of a babbling brook, you have a rich collection of rainforest vegetation along with some free ranging animals. The vegetation inside was much more lush in 2009 than it was on my previous 2002 visit, hence making it difficult to spot some of the free ranging animals like the mouse deer, which I had seen in 2002.
