I was amazed at the size of the Dholeshwar temple grounds

I was amazed at the size of the Dholeshwar/ Dholeshwor Mahadev temple grounds. This temple is of tremendous religious importance to the locals. Due to my limited interest in temples, and the irritating no photography rule in all temples in Nepal, and also since the temple wsa closed anyway, we have to move on now. We spent some time taking pictures of the little subsidiary shrines and Hindu religious symbols dotted around the large temple complex. Detailed notes about the Dholesawar/ Dholeshwor Mahadev temple appeared earlier in this album. This temple is considered particularly important as the presiding deity here is believed to the the head part of the deity in Kedarnath, an important Hindu shrine located in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand (previously part of Uttar Pradesh).
