A selfie on the balcony of the Kiyomizu-dera shrine

I have just come out from the heavily scaffolded main hall of the Kiyomizu-dera temple in Kyoto, Japan and have come out onto the balcony adjoining the hall. There was a trio Chinese (or Korean) girls taking selfies on the balc with the help of a middle aged male escort. Once the girls had finished, I requested the escort to take a selfie of me as well on the balcony, and this is the result. Kiyomizu-dera is best known for this wooden stage which juts out from its main hall, 13 meters above the hillside below. The stage affords visitors a nice view of the numerous cherry and maple trees below that erupt in a sea of color in spring and fall, as well as of the city of Kyoto in the distance. Detailed notes about the temple appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). (Kyoto, Japan, Apr/ May 2019)(Kyoto, Japan, Apr/ May 2019)
