The erstwhile university is much larger than it looks from the outside

Looking around the newly restored Chitta Akhara, we notice that it is much larger than it appears when standing in the cramped atrium which you come to upon entry. And just like the Akhara Sangalwala we saw earlier (see previous pictures earlier in this album), Chitta Akhara too appears to offer accommodation to it's students. This is one of the erstwhile informal schools which aimed to teach the common gentry some important subjects like philosophy, maths etc. which would prove useful to them in their later life, and also increaste the number of educated people, something woefully lacking in those days.
