Strobist notes: sb-600 low and to the right about 6' away. Flash in TTL mode set at 0.0 with the built in 14mm diffuser flipped over it. Best expression I got but not the best sun and sky. This was shot in program mode with TTL as this is still new to me (My first assignment) and I am still learning how to get my camera to work in full manual with a flash (also I did not want to abuse the time my subject was willing to give me). It's my intention to move to full manual setup as I have some time to learn all of that.
As this is my first submission I will say a bit about myself (at least as far as photography goes).
Still learning the in's and out's of DSLR photography ( I got my hand-me-down D70 in March of this year). I actually have a BA in theatrical lighting but it is a rather different beast from flash photography (as I am discovering!). I'm looking forward to getting my hands on an umbrella and stand and getting the first two assignments submitted so that I can be up to date.
