Taken on my last trip to Joshua Tree. There was a small LED light panel on a tripod high over my right shoulder. If you follow the shadows back you can place where it was. The path for the Cholla Cactus Garden goes straight through the frame. Earlier in the Milky Way season, the galaxy is best seen as the night is almost over. As the Summer goes by, it becomes visible earlier and earlier. During the first weeks of October, you can see it, immediately after sunset, as soon as it gets dark. I was not able to make it out as often as I would of liked to. The Summer isn't over yet and there's always next year. I'll be hustling to come up with something over the next few months. Until then, I'll have to make the best with what I have.
