Children and teens aren’t the only students dusting off their notebooks this fall. An increasing number of adults are also going back to school, according to numbers from SFU Continuing Studies, which serves primarily adults through career and degree completion programs:
•Over the last five years, SFU Continuing Studies professional development registrations have climbed by 21 per cent to a total of 11,736 in 2014/2015.
•Registrations in SFU NOW: Nights or Weekends, a degree completion program for working adults, have climbed steadily since the program launched in 2008.
•The average student is 40.
