Photographic Alphabet
As creative assignment at a local college evening photography course, we were asked to develop a theme of alphabetic images in the world around us. We were not allowed to photograph actual printed letters or create letters by scratching the ground, arranging sticks into letter positions or the like. Rather we had to use our eyes and mind to creatively find non-letter subjects that resembled letters. We are allowed to post process our images in Photoshop, but not to rotate or flip the images.
I chose to look for my letters in several forested parks in my town, and to make the exercise more challenging, to use my camera with only 1 lens (80-400 mm zoom). Over the coming days I will upload my images. The assignment called for 13 different letters, which I have completed. However for the fun of it I persevered until I found all 26 letters.
Here is the complete set.
