3D BEE !

Hi guys !

I had a meeting with Rob Black, a PHD student in working in Liverpool University with 3D Video and loads of other interesting photography work. Over the next few weeks I hope to gain a lot more knowledge about 3D Imagery and how to go about it in the simplest way.

For this image, I setup a Bee I found by chance already past in the Garden.

It was in superb condition so didn't lose any time and got to work producing a little studio for my first ever 3D stack(s).

This took a while as I did an 80 image stack and then went to move the camera 3mm to the left and took a turn for the worse and knocked the entire studio...

So, I began again and managed to hold my hand steady enough for 2 separate 80-90 image stacks of the Bee before it degraded in the heat !

To see the image in 3D you simply cross you eyes and then focus on the center image. Move forwards and back until that center image comes to focus, and whey hey - a 3D Bee without any glasses or expensive equipment, just a camera, some lights, a 50mm prime lens and a manfrotto slider ( kindly lent to me by Rob ).

I hope to do a lot more as I will be working with Rob producing and learning as I go.

The start of some interesting stuff I hope :)

Thanks all !
