Salticus scenicus - Through the Looking Glass II
Hey guys,
Here's a photo I got today, 365 image stack of both Dmap and Pmax before some editing in photoshop only.
Insight - I used Bellows at 150mm and extension tubes 50mm worth with a Nikon M PLAN 10x on the end.
2.5 second exposure time for each photo and 345 photos, god blimey took a while :D
Stacking is manual and automatically stacked in zerene stacker
Lighting is from 2x LED Lamps from IKEA and lighting for background a cheap non-directional lamp on some card I bought, nothing special.
On the way up to the Campus, I found a jumper on a wall whilst walking with a mate and decided to go back to the same wall later to catch one. Luckily within seconds, I did just that.
I also caught an interesting moth and an ant that was feeding on something odd.
Spring is bloody amazing, loving this already and hopefully loads more to come over summer after my final examinations in 2 weeks time !
I will bang out some more over the next week as the ant and moth will go to dust otherwise as i have no means other than a freezer to store them.
I also have a 20x of this very spider to go up, not a great image, but worth an upload I suppose.
Keep well all, this weather's definately outdoor macro weather !
NB - My rail has seen better days and is no longer functioning very well... over editing and some mirroring will be seen, sorry about that.
Will spend summer building an entire new setup for the months of stacking ahead :)
Thanks so much for all these views :))) Ill use this oppurtunity to direct you to my facebook macro page ! www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Francis-Priors-Macro-Photograph... hehe
