Carpet Beetle at 21x -100th Stack :-)

Hi guys !

Here's some recent work I did after getting bored of revision -__-

I found this tiny carpet beetle on my wall and decided he would make for a good stack, all 3mm of him :)

Setting up was hard, he was dusty as hell so cleaning was hard too, need some more sensor cleaners to clean my bugs before photographing them, any suggestions on the best technique to clean small insects like this without damaging them??

Insight - 130 images, Pmax with Dmap retouched, loads of editing in photoshop, alignment was off so 30% crop of original image -_-, loads of retouching of dust, tone mapped, vibrancy increaded by 20% and red to 50% with some noise reduction and 30% smart sharpening to add to detail of eyes.

All in all, a bad stack but been a while since I used the 20x, forgot how precise you have to be when stacking with this bad boy !

( Some CA edited out, need new objective - need a job! )

Despite issues, large image shows some nice detail - www.flickr.com/photos/sequentialmacro/8672509360/sizes/k/...

Cheers guys !
