The wing of a Fly - 20x II

Hi guys !

Here's another 20x of a fly wing, different fly this time, possibly just a little midgy, species I am unsure..

I managed to use smaller increments for this photo with quite a bit of overlap, though quite a bit of noise coming through due to faster shutter speed of 1/4... Also quality isn't great due to the glass on the PLAN, other than that I think it's a successful stack.

I was again amazed by the washes of colour, especially the purple coming through and also at the sheer amount of hairs covering the outer surface.

PS. You may notice the moth scale :) I kept a moth and this fly in the same container when freezing them so it must have brushed onto the wing at some point due to the hairs !

Have a cold but great Christmas weekend all, the Hobbit is out in 2 days !! :))

Info - 178 Images, mostly Dmap some retouching. Photoshop colour, tones, noise reduce, smart sharpen @4.5. Increments 0.005mm.
