Common Black Ant | Lasius Niger | With small Mite @ 10x

Hi guys !

Well, it has been a while so I decided to take my free hours today since it was pouring it down outside with gale force winds to make things worse !

I remembered that I had this frozen from a week or two back and got him out and managed to set him up parallel and facing the camera sensor perfectly, then after 100 images the stack was completed to my amazement...

This is by far the most detail I've got of an ant and I am definitely happy with the lighting, keeping the LED lamps @ precisely 10cm from the ping pong ball definitely works better @ 1.6 second exposure for each photo at 0.01mm for each frame.

Thanks for all the comments on my landscape work, I hope I am getting better as I do truly love landscape art just as much as macro :-)

20X soon once it arrives through my door of an ant eye !!

Also I'm going to try and start building my Facebook macro page up from this day as my aim is 1000 likes but I doubt I'll ever reach it if I don't advertise it ! So here it is, if you have facebook be sure to give me a like :) www.facebook.com/pages/Francis-Priors-Macro-Photography/1...
