Through the Looking Glass

Hi Guys !

 

Very bored today so decided to give my setup a bit of a make over, decided to nail everything down onto the one board to reduce camera shake... What amazed as I was having no camera shake what-so-ever with the 10x on... something I have been trying to battle for ages !

 

Now, before you jump to anything, the above is a crop, a large one at that, hence the grainy quality and no so great resolution. I used the 10x at 150mm from the sensor, so nothing wrong there, but a note to self would be - Buy a new 10x and throw this cheap one out !

 

Below is my second attempt, but nothing changed so I am blaming it on the objective, it was cheap to be fair and it is time to get an expensive bit of kit so I can really get going on microscopy as a new hobby !

 

Thanks to Wingsandthings again, the ping pong ball to diffuse light ''over the objective worked a treat and so the only thing left to fight is the objective itself !

 

Hope you like it, ignore the over editing I have done, just thought it would be nice to increase the colour and 'wham' effect, this image being 1-2mm life size, jumping spiders are simply incredible little beasts !
